Flurries flying in the Upper Cumberland now. Awfully dry air, so I don`t think the snow will amount to much.

It is exciting to see the radar returns though. I live near Auburn, Alabama and I hope to at least see a flurry or two. I am so excited!

Mike I'm a little confused on what I should do with the dusting in my gauge. I think I'll just measure the liquid water content from the gauge. I cant really take a core sample. What would you do?

Cam...

You should measure snow like it says from CoCoRaHS...."if it isn't measureable (as in less than .01), call it NA"...

I think I'll use Trace Mike. Thanks. Happy New Year

I was in Nashville at the Renaissance Hotel for a College Christian Conference from the 29th to the 2nd...and got to see snow both the 1st and the 2nd. Ironically on the 1st, myself and three of my fellow North Alabama students were walking back up Commerce Street to the hotel at around 1:30 and we were commenting on how it felt like it should be snowing.

Let's hope we get some down here in Florence, though.

You all could see some snow by next weekend...current forecast models indicate a pretty big storm...AlabamaWx.com is a great source for weather info in your area...thanks for looking in and commenting!
