The overnight threat of severe weather never materialized...which is a GOOD thing! Our main concern today is a developing line of storms just ahead of the cold front. The front stretches from St. Louis to Houston and storms will begin to develop. They will move eastward throughout the day.
The main threat at this point will be damaging winds and hail. The NWS-Nashville has us in the moderate category for strong winds and heavy rain. Thankfully, the tornadic threat is almost none. They have made some excellent improvements to their site.
*Our latest, local forecast*
Speaking of severe weather, our Middle Tennessee Weather Fact of The Day comes from 1944.
On April 11, 1944...
One person is killed, and 14 more injured, as an F2 tornado strikes near Lebanon at 6:30 a.m., cutting a 4 mile path before lifting.
