Special Weather Statement

Just before 10 pm, the National Weather Service in Nashville issued the following Special Weather Statement.

...PATCHY FROST EXPECTED IN THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION AND NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE TONIGHT...

COLD HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO MIDDLE TENNESSEE TONIGHT. DRY AIR AND CALM WINDS WILL HELP TEMPERATURES DROP INTO THE MID AND UPPER 30S ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...AND IN LOW LYING AREAS OF NORTHEAST MIDDLE TENNESSEE. AS A RESULT...PATCHY FROST IS EXPECTED TO FORM IN THESE AREAS.

SENSITIVE OUTDOOR PLANTS MAY BE KILLED IF LEFT UNCOVERED.
