Temperatures as of this post (6:50 am) are hovering around 28° here in Cookeville. We've been below freezing since midnight. So, any plants that aren't freeze resistant are probably going to die.
Later today, we do expect temperatures to reach a high of 56° and then drop back to near 30° overnight tonight through Thursday morning. This will create another freeze. We are seeing a warming trend for the rest of the week and expect highs near 70° by the weekend!

Had an opportunity to meet Monterey's National Weather Service COOP Observer Keith Phillips yesterday. I will post more on my visit with him later this week.
