As one looks out a window this morning, you almost have to do a 'double-take' to see if that was snow, ice, or frost on the ground. Upon further investigation, it was frost with a combination of frozen precipitation! I noticed black ice had formed on our neighborhood streets. It should melt as the sun rises and more traffic hits the street.

Just a little more than 3/4 of an inch of rain yesterday here in Cookeville. We needed it. I'll update later with complete rainfall totals for the month of November and for 2008. We'll do a comparison of where we stand versus the norm.

Some odd weather everywhere! Wonder what winter will bring us when it truly arrives.
Thought you'd enjoy this story, Michael. We watched several of these "cloud holes" pass overhead yesterday... awesome pictures. http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2008/11/24/407113.html
