RECORD TYING HIGH IN NASHVILLE!
From record cold to record warmth. Such is winter time in Tennessee. Today (December 19th, 2008) the National Weather Service in Nashville reported they tied the record high set way back in 1889 with a high of 73°....wow!
BACK TO REALITY
Don't get to happy about it...as temperatures are expected to be in the teens by Sunday night. Winter officially begins at 6:04 a.m. on Sunday. Yes, weather fans, this whole run of cold weather has occurred during the Fall!
CRAZY DECEMBER
Checked some weather records in our area and found that over the past 37 years, December 2008 is the coldest ever by more than 2°....*interesting*
