School or No School

Many of you are wondering whether school will be in for Putnam County for tomorrow.  I believe students will be going tomorrow (Friday, December 5, 2008).  Of course, I'm NOT the official word for this...it is just a hunch on my part.  We've dried up quickly after clearing out late this afternoon.  There could be a slick spot or two where the pavement was still wet in protected areas, but these will be the exception and not the rule.

Don't look for this cold pattern to end anytime soon.  The best we'll do over the next 7 days is only about 47° on Monday while we see another system moving the middle of next week.  This system could bring us some of the coldest weather yet.  It is, however, a ways out and will be refined as we get closer.  STAY TUNED!

*Latest, Local Forecast*

If you think we're cold, check out this forecast page from International Falls, Minnesota .  Are you kidding me?  How about Mt. Washington, NH ...the home of the world's worst weather.  Currently, at this hour, the temperature is 13.2° with a wind blowing at 54.2 mph giving them a wind chill of -13.1°...BRRR!  Mt. Washington's Weather Page.
