The Last Warm Day!

If you loved yesterday, you'll love today, too! This will be the last warm day for quite a while, so get out and enjoy the sunshine across Middle Tennessee. Temperatures in the 80's will be common in many areas. Up here on the Highland Rim and Cumberland Plateau, we'll see mostly upper 70's for highs.  Winds will pick up compared to yesterday.

***FYI...the record for Cookeville for March 10th is 81° set in 1974...we'll get close***

Showers return overnight as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Showers stick with us for Wednesday under noticably cooler conditions. Temperatures will be as much as 25° lower for highs tomorrow.

A cool, cloudy day for Thursday and more showers on tap for Friday through the weekend. Temperatures will be below normal for this period.

Enjoy this last warm day! :)

WEATHER HISTORY
On this date in 2000, as much as 5 and 1/2" of rain falls in Lewisburg (in southern Middle TN) causing flooding. As much as 3 feet of water covers some roads while the National Guard assisted in rescuing children from a daycare center that had 2 feet of water in it.

It was nice while it lasted! I'm sure there will be more Spring to come soon.

Looking at the cold front on Wunderground, that storm band just approaching TN looks pretty solid, is it supposed to weaken a little before it gets here?

It should weaken by late tonight/early morning. We will get some rain, but not much.
