Flood Watch for Wednesday

The National Weather Service office in Nashville has issued a Flood Watch for Wednesday.  Below is the official notification.  My comments will be at the end of the advisory.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT WEDNESDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY EVENING...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
 AREAS...BEDFORD...BENTON...CANNON...COFFEE...CUMBERLAND...
 DEKALB...FENTRESS...GILES...GRUNDY...HICKMAN...HUMPHREYS...
 LAWRENCE...LEWIS...MARSHALL...MAURY...PERRY...PICKETT...
 PUTNAM...RUTHERFORD...VAN BUREN...WARREN...WAYNE...WHITE AND
 WILLIAMSON.

* FROM 7 AM CDT WEDNESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING

* LOW PRESSURE WILL PASS THROUGH MIDDLE TENNESSEE DURING THE DAY
 WEDNESDAY...BRINGING HEAVY RAINFALL TO SOUTHERN AND EASTERN
 AREAS OF THE MID STATE. UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED IN
 THE WATCH AREA. WITH SATURATED GROUND ALREADY...ANY ADDITIONAL
 HEAVY RAINFALL WILL LEAD TO FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.

We have been in a consistent wet pattern over the last week. As they've said, the ground is already saturated in many places.  I mowed my yard this evening and the grass was still very damp. Watch for the typical places where flooding could occur.
