PUTNAM TN-
501 PM CDT TUE JUL 28 2009
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED AN
* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
CENTRAL PUTNAM COUNTY IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF COOKEVILLE...
* UNTIL 800 PM CDT
* AT 458 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAINFALL OVER CENTRAL PUTNAM
COUNTY INCLUDING THE CITY OF COOKEVILLE. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
NEARLY 1.5 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THE PAST HOUR. CITY OFFICIALS
INDICATE THAT SOME STREET FLOODING IS OCCURRING. MORE RAINFALL
IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THIS AREA IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS WHICH MAY
AGGRAVATE THE SITUATION.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

How close are you to the reported tornado yesterday? I hope you are well.
Dew-It was about 45 minutes south of me in Warren County, TN. Not a 100% sure it was a tornado..may a microburst...will be looking at data and possibly photos this afternoon.
