National Weather Service will cancel flood watch for Cookeville and surrounding areas. May still see heavy rain overnight, but not as much as anticipated earlier.

A Flood Watch is in effect from 10 pm this evening through tomorrow morning. Here is the wording from the Nat'l Weather Service...
"WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS 
WILL MOVE IN FROM THE
SOUTHWEST TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY MORNING. 
THE STORMs WILL PRODUCE OCCASIONALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS
...WITH 2 INCH RAINFALL TOTALS QUITE COMMON
...AND LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS."
