Warming Trend Ahead

WARM DAYS COMING: After a chilly start this morning (temperatures in the mid 30's at sunrise) here in Cookeville, we'll see highs reach near 60° under sunny skies. Repeat the forecast over the next four days with warming temperatures each day. High around 65° for Friday and near 70° for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Lows will warm from around 40° on Friday up to around 50° by Monday. Skies should be mostly sunny during the day and clear at night.

Following a high temperature of 73 degrees, a strong cold front brings 48 mile per hour winds to Nashville, followed by a 52 degree drop by midnight.
 



Weather Story of The Day
Did you see the story and video coming out southeast Tennessee near the Ocoee River? A rock slide blocked  parts of Hwy 64. As they were cleaning it up, geologists asked the crews to move due to stability issues with the hillside. Moments later, a massive slide blocks the entire road and sends boulders into the Ocoee.
