.STRONG WINDS POSSIBLE LATE THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT...
SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN ON THURSDAY...AHEAD OF A
DEEPENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER ARKANSAS. BY LATE AFTERNOON
SUSTAINED WINDS OF AROUND 25 MPH ARE EXPECTED...WITH GUSTS OVER 40
MPH POSSIBLE. WINDS WILL REMAIN STRONG FOR MOST OF THE NIGHT
THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE SUBSIDING LATE.
HOLIDAY TRAVELERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE STRONG WIND POTENTIAL
THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY. IT WOULD ALSO
BE A GOOD IDEA TO ENSURE LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS SUCH AS HOLIDAY
DECORATIONS ARE SECURE.

Mike, just a few important reminders to make sure you can hit the ground running with your new Vue.
I went through all of this last month when I got my VP2 and some of it I learned the hard way...trial and error.
1) Make sure you have purchased the Data Logger. Otherwise you can't connect it to your computer. Preferably the Serial Data Logger.
2) Make sure you have a means of mounting the ISS. IDK about the Vue, but my VP2 didn't come with a mounting pole. I had to run to Home Depot to get some industrial strength Zip Ties and a pole to mount the ISS on in the yard. A tripod or fence post will also work. AmbientWx has some excellent mounts as well.
3) You can upload to WU with the WeatherLink but for Rapid Fire updates you may need to purchase Virtual Weather Station ($100) or WeatherDisplay. The Rapid Fire updates didn't work on both of my computers with WeatherLink. The WUHU software may work for you but I couldn't get it to work with my VP2.
