...WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE FROM LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...
A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST ON
SUNDAY AND MONDAY, BRINGING WINTRY WEATHER TO MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM.
OVERNIGHT, LOOK FOR A WARM FRONT TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE MID STATE,
WITH SNOW DEVELOPING AND SPREADING FROM WEST TO EAST. SOME
LOCATIONS IN NORTHWEST MIDDLE TENNESSEE MAY RECEIVE UP TO AN INCH
ACCUMULATION BY SUNRISE.
SNOW WILL CONTINUE SPREADING ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE TOMORROW, BUT
TEMPERATURES WILL WARM ABOVE FREEZING BY LATE MORNING IN MOST
PLACES. AREAS NEAR THE ALABAMA STATE LINE WILL EVEN GET INTO THE
LOWER 40'S DURING THE AFTERNOON. ROUGHLY THE NORTHERN TWO-THIRDS
OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE WILL SEE AROUND AN INCH ACCUMULATION TOMORROW
BEFORE RAIN BEGINS MIXING IN.
THE LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL PASS JUST TO THE NORTH OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE TOMORROW NIGHT, BRINGING A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE MID
STATE. BY MIDNIGHT, PRECIPITATION SHOULD SWITCH BACK TO ALL SNOW,
WITH MOST PLACES RECEIVING 2 TO 3 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATION BY DAYBREAK ON MONDAY. THOSE AREA NEAR THE ALABAMA
BORDER WILL BE THE LAST TO SWITCH OVER TO SNOW, AND 1 TO 2 INCHES
OF ACCUMULATION ARE POSSIBLE THERE.
ON MONDAY, TEMPERATURES WILL BE CONSIDERABLY COLDER WITH BRISK
WESTERLY WINDS AS AN OCCLUDED FRONT SWINGS THROUGH THE MID STATE.
MANY PLACES COULD SEE ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW ON MONDAY. AT
THIS TIME, IT APPEARS THAT STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS, FROM TONIGHT
THROUGH MONDAY, WILL RANGE FROM AROUND 2 INCHES AT WAYNESBORO AND
LAWRENCEBURG, TO 5 OR MORE INCHES IN CLARKSVILLE, NASHVILLE,
SPRINGFIELD, LEBANON, LAFAYETTE, LIVINGSTON, AND JAMESTOWN.

MEDIA SOURCE FOR THE LATEST WEATHER FORECASTS, AND FOR POSSIBLE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES OR WINTER STORM WARNINGS FROM THE

Should be enough snowfall to provide material for a scale model of Mount Rushmore, in honor of Presidents' Day. Any takers? I'll provide the yard, shovel and wheelbarrow.
