MID TO UPPER 90's:
Expect another day with high temps. We're already up in the 80's this morning across the Cookeville area. Showers and storms move in later today and tonight with 'cooler' weather ahead for Friday and Saturday as highs will 'only' reach from near 90° to the lower 90's. By the way, computer forecasting models are showing the possibility of up to an inch of rain between late this afternoon and Friday morning. Enjoy your day!

Overnight storms rumbled through Cookeville bringing .88" of rain to my station. There was frequent lightning strikes and loud thunder associated with the heavy rain. We had a 33 mph wind gust last night during one of the storms.

i was on my porch with a cup of coffee watching, and enjoying the show. never cooled off though. it was just as steamy afterward
