Strong storms are located back to the west of Cookeville and are slowly making their way east. For the directionally challenged, that would be towards us. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for much of the area until 11 PM. Putnam County is NOT in the watch area.
If they hold together this evening, we have a chance of seeing some frequent lightning and heavy rains here later tonight. Expect the hot weather to stick with us!
