12:15 pm UPDATE: A number of people, in Nevada, reported seeing a meteor falling to earth.
The Lyrids Meteor Shower is taking place with the peak expected tonight.
A loud boom was heard in the northern parts of Nevada and the Sierra. First reports are saying it was possibly a meteor striking the earth.

I live in zephry cove nv and was walking my dog and heard a huge crack and then the ground stated to shake. After stopping for a sec wondering whats going on I felt a small shockwave and was really freaking out after that. Im about three min from have rock close to the lake about 400 yards.
