Light rain is falling across the Upper Cumberland this morning. I expect it to wrap up later this morning. We'll be dry for much of today but then as a cold front approaches late tonight, the air will destabilize causing an outbreak of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong with winds to 50 mph and contain hail. It is possible the thunderstorms continue into Tuesday morning.
Highs for today (Monday) will reach around 80° after a high of just 76° on Tuesday.
The weather becomes quite calm for the rest of the week with highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's. Next rain chances won't occur until the weekend.
