Patchy Overnight Fog, Fantastic Turkey Day

Look for fog to develop across the middle TN area. As I drove back from the Nashville International Airport around 10:30 pm, fog was already developing along the Caney Fork River in Smith County. Most of the fog will be limited to the areas around water but we could see fog develop in other low-lying places as well. A low by sunrise in the upper 30's.

For Thanksgiving, expect an outstanding day. We'll start off chilly but will warm quickly as the fog will burn off just after sunrise. Afternoon highs under sunny skies will be in the upper 60's with a light southwest wind. Expect partly cloudy skies Thanksgiving night with warmer temperatures for all the bargain hunters as they get an early start on Black Friday. The low by sunrise on Friday will be around 47°.

Friday's high is expected to only make the upper 50's with a 30% rain chance. Winds will turn to the NW in the afternoon hours leading to a big drop. We'll be in the mid 20's by Saturday morning with highs on Saturday afternoon struggling to reach the low 40's. VERY COLD on Saturday night with lows by Sunday morning in the lower and mid 20's.

Sunny and 54° on Sunday!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
