We'll begin the process of warming up around the Cookeville area. For today (Saturday), highs will be in the lower 40's with skies becoming partly cloudy and somewhat sunny. We started in the 20's this morning and there are a few slick spots on side streets from yesterday's cold rain and overnight freezing fog. For Saturday night and early Sunday morning, skies will be clear to partly cloudy with a low of 26°.
TEMPS RISE THIS WEEK
The warm up begins in earnest on Sunday with a high into the lower 50's. Rain chances enter the picture for Sunday night (although a low chance - just 30%) and a low of 41°. The slight rain chance continues for both Monday and Monday with temp ranges of 62° down to 49°.
The best day should be Tuesday with a partly cloudy sky and a high of 66°. Thunderstorms become likely on Tuesday night and Wednesday with a low of 52° and a high of 58°. Chilly weather returns for Wednesday night through Friday.
