Rain has moved out of the area on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. Skies are beginning to clear and highs are in the 60's across much of the region.
THE BIG NEWS:
A very strong cold front will push through the area tonight with drier and cooler air for all of the region on Sunday and Monday. Expect highs to struggle into the lower 60's on Sunday with sunny skies.
The big story is the cold air on Sunday night and into Monday morning. Near record cold air is forecast on Monday as we'll dip into the mid and upper 30's.
RECORDS:
Record low for Sunday is 37° in 1989
Record low for Monday is 35° in 1917
HOW COLD:
The forecasted low right now is 38° for Monday morning before sunrise.
CROP/FLOWER ADVICE:
If you've planted your garden and have tender crops, I'd advise covering them before going to bed on Sunday night. Additionally, any sensitive flowers should be covered as well.
