Rain and thunderstorms are likely over the next few days as a big area of precipitation from an upper level system is moving in from the southwest. I don't think each day will be a complete (all day) washout but you'll need to be aware of the good possibility of rainfall each day. This is a big weekend for graduation festivities for many schools in the area.
A few of these storms could approach severe levels late this afternoon and evening across middle TN. Strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out for Saturday and Sunday but I do think those strong storms will be isolated in nature.
We'll 'cool' off a few degrees to the upper 70's but do expect a return to the 80's by Sunday or Monday at the latest.
