Rumbles of Thunder

**10:05 PM UPDATE**
Moderate to heavy rain is falling in the Cookeville area. We've topped the 10" mark for July. The only question is whether we get enough to beat the all-time record July record of 10.52". I doubt we will, but it is raining quite hard for the last few minutes.

PREVIOUS POST
You may possible hear some rumbles of thunder as some pockets of showers and storms have developed and are continuing to push southeastward across our area. Most of this should wrap up just after midnight and areas of fog will develop by sunrise.

Only a slight chance of thunderstorms on Thursday with skies eventually clearing in the afternoon hours. Expect a nice day Friday but storms develop for the weekend.

Speaking of rain, we currently sit at 9.99" for the month of July. The record, as you may be aware of, is 10.52" from 1979 in Cookeville.
