SATURDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE:
There has been an increase in the rain and thunderstorm coverage across Middle Tennessee this afternoon. Expect slow moving thunderstorms with locally heavy downpours where the rain falls. The air is very moist and we lack any significant winds although that may change within strong thunderstorms themselves. The threat of any widespread severe thunderstorms is not expected.
REST OF THE WEEKEND:
Expect some leftover rain and thunderstorm activity this evening, but they should all dissipate after sunset. Sunday is expected to be much drier than today with warmer temperatures. The high should be around 85°.
NEXT WEEK:
At this point, Monday looks like a good chance for thunderstorm development. We'll keep an eye out for any possible strong to severe weather. After frontal passage, I expect things to dry out and settle down with cooler temps. Much of the week will be dry with a few cool nights mid-week and temps averaging below normal.
